To Kill A Mockingbird
HW- RJ 2.1 TKAM Ch. 5
I walk into sixth period, happy that it's the last period of the day. I sit down and start writing down the agenda, and Erin is already yelling, like always.
Chris starts reading his blog, and while he reads it, I'm lost, because I wasn't here on Friday, and I don't know what happened. He had chosen someone, then he looks at me and chooses me; I already saw it coming.
Ms. Nakada tells us to take out our English notebooks and to write a quote that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said. "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." We discuss what the quote means; the message.
Then, Donald Trump is brought up into our conversation, unfortunately our 45th president. I'm just sitting here not really wanting to type this blog but it's better to just give it over with. Meanwhile, the students are exchanging different quotes said by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We move on to the Question of the Week "With what privileged/oppressed groups do you identify?" At first I didn't know how to answer the question until Ms. Nakada gave examples. I was sitting here doing my work, listening like the good child I am and Yaritzel and Julian kept calling me to be in the blog. Well, I guess they made it. At this point the class is getting very loud, and I'm just sitting here having nobody to talk to. I lost track of the time, and the bell is about to ring and I am getting ready to leave. This is short, but also because we get out early.Well, this is it. BYE!
