Then Chaysen is talking about something about how the election was rigged by imagintes. Than Ms. Nakada is saying "what imagintes." Than Erin yells out "The russains." After all that Ms. Nakada get in a huge fight with Chaysen. After all of this Ms. Nakada is telling people to come up and she gave then a paper saying that they had finihed their Nanowrimo. Well theres nothing to do now but watch people make little quotes on paper. Then I hear Erin say " Janan what are you writting." Than Janan says "Take the L." Well the bell is about to ring so bye. So class started and Josue read his blog. I got chosen to do the blog and I didn't want to do the blog. Ms. Nakada told us that when she was grading finals grades were going down. So, Ms. Nakada decided not to include the final test and I heard someone say ''Ms. Nakada your so nice''. People started to pass out portfolios. All I hear is people talking and talking. I turned around and I saw Diana saying ''Hola and Janan saying ''Put me in the blog''. I heard Allyson calling Diamond and Diana calling Allyson. Mr. Hastings walked in and gave Jazzlynn a card. Erin then said ''They accepted you into the gifted program but you stupid.'' I still hear people talking. I turned around and I hear David asking Erin ''What is Janans last name.'' Well I guess I have anything to type about. Now Ms. Nakada is passing out Good Hours by Robert Frost and Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. Ms. Nakada tells us to read the poem to try and figure them out and then go over them together. I hear Daniel saying 'Two winter plums.'' Nothing is happening and to be honest I kind of zoned out. People are discussing about the poem and Ms. Nakada was asking people have they figured out the rhyme scheme. Ms. Nakada asked what's this poem about and it's about a walk but it's not loneliness it's solitude. Ms. Nakada is explaining the poem. Ms. Nakada asked have you every been in deep snow and it make a creeking noise when you walk. There is only 10 minutess of class left. So again i zoned out for a few minutes. Ms. Nakakda ask when the darkest day of the year and people answer the Winter Solstice/Dec. 21. The bell has rang so adios and sorry for this boring blog. BYEEEEEE!!!

Class started and Ms.Nakada started telling kids to get out of class and try to come in again without talking. Right after that happened Julian asked me for water I told him he could keep it if he didn't pick me he said "Okay." He still picked me.

Everyone is taking out red pens to correct the test. Chaysen kept talking and Ms. Nakada wanted to know why he kept talking even though he didn't have permission to talk.

I don't know what to write about. Julian keeps tapping his pencils on the desk which is annoying and he just asked if i wanted to see his "Sick beats."

We did AR after we checked the tests.

Sorry if this is really short and boring I don't have anything interesting to wright about.  The bell is going to ring soon. Bye.

As sixth period started, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our binder reminders because we were gonna check if we wrote all our agendas down. As we finished checking our binder reminders, she asked who was the last person that did the blog and Diana quickly said "me." So, I knew that Diana was gonna pick me, because she kept telling me in math she was gonna pick me to do the blog.

We also did the quote of the week: "Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try." JFK

The question of the week was: Can money buy happiness?

Ms. Nakada told us to take out our notebooks so we can check if we have all of are notes in order and said "all of them are one point except specific ones." So, as there are twenty minutes left in the class period, I have to think of stuff to write about, but then Ms. Nakada said that she was gonna pass back our Nanowrimo word counts. So, as there are fifteen minutes left in the class period, I have nothing left to write so Bye.  Chaysen is beautiful.

Final Exam

HW: Enjoy your weekend!

REDEMPTION DAYS MONDAY-WEDNESDAY!

My sixth period class came in and I started class by reading the blog. Erin was feeling particularly feisty, and we talked for a little bit about this class's default being to talk rather than the default to be to not talk. Maybe I should have this class stop talking as soon as they come in and that will help.

Students cleared desks and continued the exam.

By the end of the period, most students had finished.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

My sixth period *silently* working on their final!
I know, shocking!
Students came into class, and there seemed to be a little bit of drama going on, but luckily it was time for English class, so everyone could forget about their own problems and think about Ponyboy and Ha's struggles instead.

Diana read her blog. Then, everyone got their essay pre-writing papers and English notebooks out, because they could use them on the exam.

Students had the rest of the period to complete as much of the exam as they could. They should be able to finish it up tomorrow!

Diamond read her blog, and when she finished, she picked me, thanks to Genesis and the other Diamond. I didn't want to do the blog again, but I'm here doing it anyway. I sat on the "blogging" chair thinking of what to write, but also thinking that this blog is going to be short and boring. As I looked around the room for ideas of what to write, I looked over at Janan who was mouthing something at me but I didn't know what.

Ms. Nakada started talking about our final exam and what we needed to know. I forgot some of what Ms. Nakada was talking about since I zoned out for a bit, but what I do remember her talking about was the The Outsiders book vs. movie.  During Ms. Nakada's explanation, I looked over to Jason who then waved at me. I looked over at Janan again who then told me to put her in the blog again since she was already in it.

Ms. Nakada started going over a paper we got on Monday that was talking about refugees and Inside Out and Back Again.

Sorry if this is short and boring I didn't know what to write or what I was doing. I don't even know if I'm going to read this or not, but if I do then it's a miracle.  The bell is about to ring, so BYE!

So, the class started off a little noisy, until Ms. Nakada came in. We began doing quote and question of the week. The quote was "Be kind to everybody, make art, and fight the power." Colson Whitehead. The question was, should students erase / change things in class when the teacher is out.

After that, Ms. Nakada started talking about how she wants us to be a better student coming in and going out  and improving on how we act. Then, Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out our novel submissions and she told us how it should be stapled. Ms. Nakada said that we need to start planning ahead because teachers are not going to do things for you.

Michael was not listening, so Ms. Nakada told him to go to Mr. Bangert's room.

Ms. Nakada told us to take out our English notebooks and she told which pages we should refer to for the final exam. We started to take notes on the final exam review. We had to chose one quote or question to discuss.

We needed to know: the elements of plot, we needed to know the five steps to the writing process.

Ms. Nakada started to talk about how, even if Allyson's novel was short, she enjoyed it very much.

Ms. Nakada said we to write the rhyme scheme, metaphor and she might drop in an allusion. We also need to review The Outsiders book vs movie. We only had about three more minutes till the bell had rang and it was a Tuesday so I had to go. Bye, and also were all going to make sure our novel submissions are done.

Then, we updated our class word count chart and congratulated those who reached 100%. We then took out our English notebooks, and worked on our Novel Submission Checklist. We next updated our grades and passed out graded papers. I'm stressing out right now because I don't know what to type. I'm currently filling out my NaNoWriMo Reflection paper, so that's why this blog is super short. The bell's about to ring. Bye.

Today, we came into class and sat down immediately. Next, after everybody sat down we started to correct Raquel's blog. She only had a couple of errors. After we were finished correcting her blog, she chose me. Thanks Raquel. :)

Next, Ms. Nakada walked over to the chart of NaNoWriMo to call out people's name, and see if they had finished their word count goal. Congratulations to all the people that have reached the goal! The next thing that the class was ordered to do was to, take out our English notebooks. The students wrote down in their notebook their new English scores. All the students were shocked to hear about all the big assignments coming up, especially our FINAL EXAM! Ms. Nakada said we also have to get our AR to 100%.

Later, Ms. Nakada asked for some help, so student could pass out portfolios. Thank you Jeremy, Evelyn, Jacob, and Duc for passing out portfolios and papers. After they finished passing papers out, they room started to thunder with talking. Everyone started to look at their scores, and talk about them to their seat neighbors. Kevin kept asking Ms. Nakada who had the highest scores on certain assignments. As I had turned around to see what the class was doing, Fatima gave me a nice smile and wave.

After, Ms. Nakada passed out NaNoWriMo reflection papers. The room was loud from everyone's conversations. When Ms.Nakada told everyone to get to their work, the room became silent. The classroom was so silent, you could hear the tips of student's pencils writing on their papers. The room was silent until Jeremy said, "Bet money!" out loud for the whole class to hear. I assumed he was trying to prove one of his neighbors were wrong, and he was right. Nick asked a question to Ms. Nakada, saying if students next year decide not to do NaNoWriMo, what will happen? Ms.Nakada made a funny joke saying that, that class grades will suffer. The room fell silent again. The class was still writing their reflections. The bell rang for nutrition, and Ms. Nakada dismissed the class.

It would've been interesting if he did add it in because I mean it was kinda funny and,
we were talking about the person I used to know. Ms. Nakada was asking the class what percentage they were at on Nanowrimo and was adding their amount on the poster she has on the wall. She then told the class to get a keyboard and a iPad so they can start writing their novels 'til the end of the period. Now, the class is writing their novels. At this point, Ms.Nakada told the class to put away the iPads and keyboards and everyone is packing up. The bell is going to ring and I have to go. Bye.

As the day started, Ms. Nakada was talking about how ESA perfecta is going on a field trip. Everyone takes out their English journals to do Novel Excerpts. I hear Chaysen, David, and Erin talking about how Chaysen's life story is sad, and Erin is talking about bums and homeless people. It was making Ms. Nakada frustrated. I don't know what to write about, so I'm gonna tell you about the show Teen Wolf. The sixth season just started, and already one of the main characters gets taking by freaking Ghost Riders. This made me cry, A LOT.

Ms. Nakada is reading her novel from last year. It sounds like it is really good, it kind of reminds me of Pretty Little Liars. Erin is talking about how Ms. Nakada should put pictures of us as her book cover. I didn't know what to write about, the class was being loud like usual. Janan says hey.

Ms. Nakada is talking to Anthony about how he should be writing, instead of whatever he was doing. The class is quiet, for the first time in forever. Scratch that, for the first time EVER!!! It's like everyone is quiet when they know if they talk, they'll get in trouble. It's that time of class where we have to do the NaNo sprint. The bell is going to ring soon. ERIN AND JASON WERE HERE!
Sixth period started off quieter than usual.  Dylan read his blog, and when he finished Jason said he could be a narrator. He chose me to write the next blog, so here I am writing. Julian keeps typing he is awesome. Ms. Nakada gave everyone a paper that said Matthew Wrinkler's Ted Ed Talk on The Hero's Journey.  She had everyone cut it out and put it in their English Notebook. Then, she turned on a video about a lady talking about growing up in Africa and going to school in America.  Ms. Nakada said she was going to skip some parts from the video but people starts saying they want to watch the whole video. I heard Erin yelling the loudest saying she wanted to watch the whole thing, but Ms. Nakada did it anyways because it was too long.

The video ended, and Ms. Nakada told everyone to work on their novels.  Sharon came up to me asking if I was going to choose her to do the next blog and I said no. Then, I told her I saw her in one of the pictures in the auditorium and she laughs and walks away. Ms. Nakada tells the class that we're ahead of all the other classes and that we can make her cry a little. She later said that if we wanted 10 extra credit points we would have to write a thank you letter to Alison Schapker for donating money so we can get the books we have now.  Everyone is quietly working on their typing, so there isn't really anything to write about. Julian whispers that he's smart because he's at 50%.  There's 10 minutes left if class and Julian hit his elbow. He hit a second time trying to prove to me he didn't hit it in the first place. Ms. Nakada is asking who wrote over 300 words in about 10 minutes. A few people wrote over 300 words and got candy for doing so. Allyson is awesome!!!!!!!!! and Julian is way more awesome then Allyson sike Allyson is more awesome. Allyson and Julian got into this argument about who's more awesome. They're both pretty awesome. Chaysen. The bell just rang, and I want to go home.

I get chosen by David H. I'm assuming that Gabriel bribed him because he tried to bribe Max but he didn't choose me. Ms. Nakada started to read the pep talk from
Stephanie Perkins. David is bothering me by telling me to throw his trash away so he throws it at me. I look at Julian and he is doing his work for once. JK. He always does his work on time and is AWESOME not. Carlos comes up and gets a laptop I ask him what he is doing he says robbing I gasped and he walked away. Ms. Nakada is asking everyone their percentage. Julian says 49 but I can tell that he is lower than that. Well, the bell rang byyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeee.

I'm gonna start at the middle of class because I was struggling to start. We were told to back up our novel, write the question and quote of the week and were just starting our letter home number three. Alright so we continued class about to start our letter home. The letter home is basically about NaNoWriMo, since we haven't done anything else than that. The class got quiet except for David and Julian, well their the only ones I hear talking because their behind me.I really got nothing to talk about not because this class is boring, it's because there's no talking, again for a few exceptions. I honestly don't know how Ms. Nakada can deal with us. Like right now how Julian started laughing because David started coughing like it was his last day to live. Ms. Nakada now just told us how close she is to finishing, basically telling us to hurry up. Some people finished, some haven't. The class started getting loud again, which is really annoying, and I got a good feeling today is not the brightest day as I thought. I was about to start laughing because Chaysen pulled Bailie's cord to keep the computer on. He blamed Chris H. but ended up getting moved and Julian next to me. Now I say, "What a wonderful day" and I imagine me drinking bleach, huh. I think me being annoyed will kill me faster than the bleach (By the way this is not to think worse of my imagination because I have a very bright one :) ). Julian then shows me this Hot Wheels car that supposedly a "Collectible". I asked him if I could have it but he rejected my offer. The bell's going to ring, and I decide "Hey at least I'll get it someday, someday." He replies with a sure you will, sure you will. And this is the end, I think, P E A C E.

The class started out as normal, loud. I was apparently chosen because of David. Chayson and Gabriel kept yelling at me to raise my hand to be chosen to do the blog. Anyway I was chosen to do it, right before chayson said I should use reverse cycolgy to not be chosen. Back to the class. David's blog was being commented every second by chayson. Ms. Nakada gave us a letter from Neil Gaiman. The class got loud again. She told us to write another thing in our table of contents. It was nanowrimo pep talk. She gave us scissors to cut the letter. Then she wanted us to glue it. The sound of the scissors cut were a little bit distracting. Ms. Nakada told Carlos to cut faster because other people needed to use it. Sorry if I'm incorrect about what happening in class.

Ms. Nakada was getting very annoyed at the class for a second. Bailey and Chayson were arguing about something. I started laughing like crazy. Chayson was trying to explain what going on. Bailey kept saying "keep lying." Ms. Nakada said to Chayson to apologize, because he said something wrong at the wrong time. In the end, Chayson got roasted by Bailey. Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for all the lies of this blog! Ms. Nakada told us to annotate the letter. Ms. Nakada said if you stop on the novel your novel will die kinda like a shark, which is metaphor. Writing a novel is like building a wall, which is a simile. Ms. Nakada told us to take out our nanowrimo packet. David was told to spit his gum twice. Ms. Nakada told us yesterday how bad she was in high school. She also said if you are 1000 words straight you will be exhausted. If your only writing on the weekend you are probably behind in nanowrimo. If blog was short, I'm very sorry. Class started loud and annoying. Everybody was excited, because it was 6th period because it's a fun class. Ms. Nakada then told us to take out our binders to check if we had written all of the agendas and most people got a good grade.

She told us to take our grade chart, and put the new assignments in. Everybody is quiet while they write which is rare because all of us are always talking. I hear Ms. Nakada tell Jazlynn to spit her gum out and Michael telling her how she isn't slick and he is. Ms. Nakada asked us for our reading journal to check 11.1 to 11.5. Jasmine asked me to put her in the blog and I thought why not so she starts to laugh and talk to Jazlynn. I turn around and Julian is telling me to the blog and I tell him I am doing it. She starts to talk to me and Ms. Nakada. She asked him if he was done his writing the scores and he said yeah,

chazin wiz heer

When out of nowhere comes Chaysen and tells me to put him in the blog and writes his name when I hear behind me Michael asks Ms. Nakada if she was happy with the election and she said she wasn't happy because she said Donald Trump didn't respect woman.

When Carlos came to ask for a computer and I asked him why did he have to choose me. He told me he just had to choose me and I called him a liar. He just ignored me and walked away. Ms. Nakada tells us to be quiet and type. I think nanawrimo is cool. After all, who doesn't want to write a novel but I'd rather read a book instead of writing one but hopefully mine is good. I think it's going well so far and hopefully it will continue to be good. Ms. Nakada tells us to tell her our percent for nanowrimo. I hear people tell Ms. Nakada their results for a short while and then she gets to me. I tell her my percentage and she finishes asking class is coming to an end so see you.

Ms. Nakada started off by showing us how to keep track of our NaNoWriMo and how many words we write per day. Once she had finished that, we continued to watch The Outsiders. I hear Julian and David talking about Luke Skywalker. Jazlynn kept bothering me and she wouldn't leave me alone! She kept asking me what she should do for her NaNoWriMo! I'm not really sure what to write about in the blog, because the only thing we're doing is watching The Outsiders and some people are working on their NaNoWriMo. In my opinion, the movie isn't that good. I've watched it before. Michael is always getting on my nerves, and he won't let me focus on the movie and the blog! Ms. Nakada told the class to work on their NaNo. She also told the class to take out a piece of paper and write down their first sentence. Sixth period was about to end and the room got so noisy and hectic. The bell had just rang and now it's time for me to go home and eat! Food is life!! Bye now :). This was fun!

Have a safe weekend(clown-free)

So, class has started as usual. As Nancy reads her blog, I'm wondering if she is gonna choose me. Sadly, she chose me. I don't understand though? After I made her feel better yesterday, she still chooses me. I'll get her back eventually. Be careful Nancy something will be coming your way. So, Ms. Nakada has played the movie and Nancy keeps talking... like be quiet already. I really wanted to go to
the Spike ball tournament, but someone had to choose me and I ended up not going. But anyway, today is a minimum day and we are out at 12:35. As I'm typing this blog, I still hear Nancy talking, but this time it's Stephanie too. I don't mind them talking because I talk a lot too, but we're watching a movie come on! As I look to my right I see Netalia biting her nails, I guess that just her. Since the class is watching the movie, I'm focusing on this blog because I saw it already. The three saddest parts for me are when Darry smacks Ponyboy, Johnny dies, and when the Socs try to kill Ponyboy. There is a few minutes left of class and this blog is boring. I don't think there will be any clowns this weekend, Ms. Nakada? Well, got to go, bye guys.

Nancy's Second Blog :)

Blog/ RJ
Student Led Conferencing
NaNoWriMo prep

So, today has been a great day and I was expecting sixth period to be good because it's the last period and it is a good period. Unfortenetley, I walked in class crying because somebody thought it was ok to run in the hall way and kick me really hard on my ankle, oh my it had hurt really badly. Anyways sixth period started regularly, Netalia read her blog and honestly I didn't listen. Then, OUT OF NO WHERE Netalia chooses me and I was not in the mood but it's ok because I love her. Then, Yaritzel tells me to choose Stephanie so I won't choose her but I am. Sorry Yari. Ms. Nakada passed a packet out and I try to listen but Michael kept calling me. Well, Ms. Nakada tells us that November is National Novel Writing Month and we are attempting to do a 10,000 word novel draft, like why Ms. Nakada ? Honestly, it can be annoying writing a blog because you have to multitask ugh. When I first read the notes Ms. Nakada wrote, I was confused on why she circled the first two letters on each word and I was also wondering why it is called NaNoWriMo but silly me I figured it out, I was very confused. So, at the moment I am making an account because um I have to.  I'm waiting for my phone to load because it is going slow but that is because I'm always on social media. Yari comes and ask me if I am mad and I explained to her and she noticed that i was going to choose her. While everyone is writing their essays I'm just sitting here and Ms. Nakada turns on the movie The Outsiders which I saw before I finished the book. I didn't cry when i watched the movie but I did cry when i read the book at the end of chapter 6, yeah I'm kinda emotional. Well, I'm waiting for the bell to ring and Yari is singing along with the song and continuesley keeps singing the part "Gloriaaa." I'm looking at the movie and Yari saw the movie too and says the same thing Cherry says in the movie, we just kept laughing. I am not the only one who thinks Ponyboy is so cute, like very cute. Michael talks to much, I had to say that. The bell is about to ring and this is the end of my blog so bye guys.

T.O. Book Movie

HW RJ 11.3 p. 131-172

So, before class I told Chris to not choose me. Then, Ms. Nakada asked him to come up and read his blog. He went up and read it. Almost his whole blog was about Michael, but anyways,  he chose me and I'm really up set because I didn't want to do this blog. But, while I was writing, Yari called my name and then started laughing I didn't know why she did that. Maybe it was because she wanted me to mention her in my blog.

So, after that, Ms. Nakada passed out the student led conference papers, while other students passed out grade reports, and your parent report that we turned in signed about two weeks ago. Ms. Nakada started explaining how to use the student led conference paper for tomorrow night. Then, Yari came by me to see how much I wrote, and while she was trying to stand back up she said peanut butter and crackers. Then, she told me she likes green apples and says "look Dory." Then, so went back to her seat and yelled out Finding Dory! I want to see that movie. Next thing you know, Ms. Nakada asked for everyone to make a pile at the aisle with RJ's and if you're not done with your essay, to come and get an AlphaSmart. Jason came up to me and told me to add him in the blog and say just write how nice he is and how he gives me candy. Hi, ERIN WAS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HI, YARI WAS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea what to write about and I'm really bored cause I'm writing the blog not because this class is boring. There is about fifteen minutes left of class and there is nothing to do except listen to this super loud class. Now, I see how Ms. Nakada feels about how loud the class is, I bet she's like wow this sixth period is super annoying but I still love sixth period. Ms. Nakada soon says if the class continues to be loud we are not going to watch the movie because it will take too long for about half the class to finish their essays. From behind me i can hear Michel and Jazlynn telling each other that they are stupid, but anyways there is a minute left of class and I got to go bye.

AGENDA
BLOG/RJ
Complete .T.O.  Essays

HW R.J 11.2
pg. 87-130

We started off the period by listening to Jazlynn's blog. It was cool and all, but it was short. After that, we quickly started working on T.O Essay. Ms. Nakada started walking around grading RJ 10.1 - 10.4. Now, we are doing an emergency drill, so basically we are on lock down. I turn around and see that
Micheal is doing NOTHING. Now, he's getting frustrated by Erin. Then, he goes on by saying "Chris talk about me."

Now, Ms. Nakada is realizing Michael is being a problem so she tells him to start working. Well, you and I both know, Michael is gonna keep doing nothing. Anyway, I'm sorry if my blog is boring so far ... I just don't know what to talk about.

It's Tuesday and we get out early today, which is nice. At this point Ms. Nakada is getting very annoyed at the class but, more at Micheal. Someone banged on the door pretending to be a "Bad Guy" and well Micheal started to laugh. Now, Ms. Nakada is pissed at Micheal. I come to realize half my blog is about Micheal. Well he should be happy I dedicated half my blog to him.

Now, the class has sorta calmed down and so has Ms. Nakada. Ms. Nakada came to where I was sitting and checked my reading journals. The class is coming to an end with only five minutes left. I honestly love this class. Now, Ms. Nakada is collecting alpha smarts which we were writing our essays on. Well, I'm going to end the blog here. Goodbye :). Hi Erin was here !!!!

The question of the week is ''Do teachers assign too much homework?" In my opinion we spend a lot of time at school so why do more work at home? Erin comes by yelling at me to put her in the blog. Nancy, my Honduran sister, comes and also wants me to put her in my blog. Then, Erin starts fighting her for no reason. Jasmine and I start talking about mustaches. She's a weirdo :) <3. HW-Have a fabulous weekend!

Class started off kind of loud, and everybody started to write down the agenda. Then, Ms. Nakada told Chaysen to come up and read his blog. Then, he picked me to do the blog. I think he picked me because last time I did the blog I picked him.

After that, Ms. Nakada starts to talk about the new book we just started reading, Inside Out and Back Again. So far, I like the book, but the characters have names that most people don't have. Then, we started to talk about people fleeing from their countries because of war,
refugees. Most people don't have a choice unless they want to die. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to make a pile of our reading journals so she could correct them. We started to talk about our essays, and she showed us the parts of our essays. I went to go get my reading journals. Some people came to get an AlphaSmart to write their essays if they were done.

It got really quiet when Ms. Nakada was grading reading journals.

AGENDA
  • Blog / RJ
  • T.O Essays - Intro & Body
HOMEWORK

  • RJ 10.4
  • I.O & B.A p.1-40
The class began like always, a bit noisy and rowdy but quickly settled down (I plan on using words that are more simple and adding a personal touch). After the class settled down, Ms. Nakada began to pass out the new class book, Inside Out & Back Again, I read a couple of the first pages and the book seems pretty good. Next, Ms. Nakada called Daniel up to read his previous blog, he did a relatively good job on reading it and the ending of it was quite amusing. Once he was finished, he called me up, and I went to go write the blog.

When I started writing the blog, all I could hear was Michael acting extremely boisterous, which was a bit annoying, but I guess that's him. The class started on the T.O. Essays we were working on the day before. Ms. Nakada gave the class admonition on how to find evidence for the writing prompts. I didn't really pay attention since I already found evidence for each one of my reasons. I then looked back to see if I could find a topic to write on and I guess David noticed and faked throwing his water bottle at me. Then, Daniel came up to speak to Ms. Nakada. His voice cracked when he said "lines," and it made me laugh. The classroom began to get loud once again, and Ms. Nakada said, "this is the loudest finding of evidence I've ever witnessed." That made me laugh too.

There are twenty minutes left of class, and I really don't have any topics to write on. I find it interesting that you can hear everyone in the class talking from the front. Classes were probably designed like that to help teachers identify who's talking. I turned around again to face Julian and "Davidé." They were talking about video-games, and I decided to add my input into their chat. After that, Ms. Nakada gave more advice on how to write the T.O. Essays. She gave people more examples and explained how they could be used. The class resumed to its normal chattery vibe and ran back into the situation of not having any topics to write on. I turned around once again, and saw Gabriel and Dylan playing with each other. Class is about to end, so, I guess this is me officially saying goodbye.

T.O essays:
Pre-Write, Intros, 1st Body Paragraph

HW: RJ 10.3 15-20 pages
of your book-
We are starting a new book Thursday.

Here we go again with another blog. First, Max presents the blog. He does an O.K. job at presenting. Then, of course, he picks me. I don't why. I didn't do anything.

Next, Ms. Nakada gives all the students an Editor Submission Form. It's supposed to be for our Quick-Write. Ms. Nakada starts talking about
highlighting, capitalization, and writing. Everyone then starts talking. It becomes very loud in the room. I feel left out because I'm sitting in the front of the classroom, alone, doing a very boring blog.

The class continues to talk for about a good 10 minutes. So, since there's nothing to write about, I start finishing up my Quick-Write. Ms. Nakada, again, gives everyone another paper for The Outsiders. We have three prompts and have to pick one. Once we pick one of the three prompts, we create a thesis statement. Then, we move onto reasoning. We must write three reasons to support the thesis statement. The last part is to support your reasons with evidence.

It's 2:45, and I'm unbelievably bored because I'm so fast at completing this blog and my work, that I need more of a challenge. Finally, the bell rings. It's time to go. Later.

We're starting a new book Thursday

So, I'm writing another crap blog in my favorite month Spooktober. Well, we first started off the class by listening to Gabriel's blog and, oh boy, there were numerous mistakes. But, I don't blame him. We all make mistakes. Anyways, we corrected his blog and moved on with our day. Ms. Nakada then told us to take out our Quick Writes  because we were going to finish typing them up on the Alpha Smarts. Well, right now I finished my Quick Write and there is only two minutes left. I hope you enjoyed my crap blog again.:^)

We started class by changing seats and there was a lot of groaning. Bailei read her blog, and we found out Michael burned Bailei's finger. After that, she picked me to do the blog. We corrected Bailei's blog and did the week's quote and question. We saw on the projector some of Salvador Dali's paintings. Max, being the memer his is, is saying a lot of memes.

This week's question was, "Is it offensive for sports teams to use Native Americans as mascots?" That is to me, a tad racist. Ms. Nakada showed us some sport team mascots and some were racist, especially the Cleveland Indians.

Ms. Nakada passed out song lyrics to our class called, "Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts" by The Gaslight Anthem. That's when we started to talk about tones in literature and lyrics. Ms. Nakada played the audio version of the song, and it sounds like something that my sister would listen to  during our bus ride home. Erin asked if Ms. Nakada was crying to this song, which the answer was naw m8. The class made annotations to the lyrics of this song. Through this, the class was so noisy and disruptive. It took forever to get through the lyrics. Class is about to end, so I'll end it off here, bye.

Once again, I was chosen to do a blog in sixth period but this time it's all Jasmine's fault. As everyone is writing their second letter home, I'm sitting here trying to type, but my hand still stings from Michael

accidentally burning me with a hot glue gun earlier. Now, everyone is either typing their quick write on an AlphaSmart or writing on paper. Michael is really gonna get tripped down the stairs, because I can't focus with him making jokes & I'm really trying to finish my blog. Ms. Nakada finally finished grading reading journals and it's almost time to go home. This wasn't my best blog, but it was decent at least I got something done. It's time to leave now so bye.

I go up and sit down at the spot where you do the blog.  I'm here now writing the blog. I look up at the board and see a paper on the screen that says "The Poverty Myth." I think they're going over it and annotating. I hear the phone ring and someone goes home. Now, the
class is doing a Quick Write, I think. Class is about to end, in like 10 minutes or 12 . Everybody is getting up now going to Ms. Nakada getting some typing thing (AlphaSmart) and showing the Quick Write. There's 5 minutes left now. That's all. Bye.

Enjoy the day off :)

So, sixth period started out as normal. Well, as normal sixth period gets. Ms. Nakada told Diana to go read her blog, but she got shy. Diamond A. volunteered to go read the blog. Ms. Nakada told everyone to make a pile at aisle of R.J and to take out their "The Poverty Myth." So, right now Ms. Nakada is checking reading journals. So, right now that I am typing this blog, and nothing is going on. When I turn around to see what's going on, I see Michael dancing for some reason. When I turn back around, I see Michael dancing, and then, Ms. Nakada tells Michael to keep reading. Then, Michael realizes that there is a back to "The Poverty Myth." Finally, Ms. Nakada tells the class to take out their English notebooks and the class gets noisy. Then, Ms. Nakada tells the class that we will switch seats on Monday. Ms. Nakada is doing the 10
week grades. Ms. Nakada is telling the class how to see their goal on A.R., and now Ms. Nakada is telling the class who has passed their goal. So, as the bell is getting closer to ring, and I am getting really impatient. Sorry that this blog is boring, but it was a short day and nothing was going on in the class. The bell has rung, goodbye!!!!

Goal by Thursday!

Sixth period started the same as always, no shocker there. As we were writing down the Agenda, Dylan was called up to read his blog. When he was finished, Ms. Nakada asked him who he wanted to pick, and that's when people, those who should not be named, started shouting at him to pick me. I ended up here doing this blog even though I didn't wanted to, at all, never wanted to.

So, while I'm up here, I can hear as Julian, or Juan as he wants to be called, and Michael mess around, as usual, so nothing has changed. Since people weren't paying attention to the blog corrections, Ms. Nakada made the class take out a piece of paper and write it down instead. While the class was doing this, Ms. Nakada sent Julian out, because he didn't have a collared shirt, as always. When he came back, he saw his name on the computer and was trying and failing to erase his name from the blog. So was Michael.

As I look around trying to see what else I can write about, since I have no clue what I'm doing, I see the class doing what they normally do everyday. This is a very boring blog, and I would have deleted it but I couldn't, because I had to do this. So, as we were about to leave, and I was praying to get sick so that I didn't have to read this, Ms. Nakada was explaining "The Poverty Myth." The bell is about to ring so I leave you with this short and boring blog. Goodbye.

Sixth period started out quiet, for once. Then everyone copied the agenda. After that, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our English note books and talk about the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost. As I try to type this, Julian keeps on telling me to fix the agenda and stuff, but he also keeps bothering me by pressing the button that capitalizes the letters which messes me up a lot. Then, Ms. Nakada told every one to turn to a new page in our English notebooks. Also, in David's blog, the one that said that it was my fault that he was chosen for the blog, I did nothing. It's not like I told people to pick him. Then, Ms. Nakada corrects the blog before mine. Then, I hear someone call me burnt rice. As I think about it, that's racist. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our quick writes from yesterday. She gave us examples of quick write topics like ice cream or family. The class was talking a lot  and they were kinda loud. Ms. Nakada told us that our quick write was our ticket to leave because we were talking too much. Well, the bell is about to ring. Sorry if this was short and boring. In class, it started out as normal, loud. Ms. Nakada first told us to read our books. A lot of people that I could hear were laughing. As we were reading, a lot of people were talking in the back. I don't know why Max chose me. Probably because I skipped many blogs before. She was handing out the Star Test we did online. I'm not a very big fan of test that we do online. She then went on to our reading plan in our English notebooks. She gave us a part where we are to record our level for reading. On the paper it had a lot of acronyms. She told us we needed a goal to increase our reading. The goal is based on our star test. She told us how we can see our goals by logging in AR. She says we have to be half way to our goal. Ms. Nakada has already passed her goal. She tells us who did and didn't pass there goal. I wondered why time would go fast during certain classes. maybe it could just be me not paying attention.

Ms. Nakada open us up to a new page in our English notebook. She hands out a poem from the book we read, The Outsiders. She asks us what words we are uncertain with in the poem. During the class it was getting loud Ms. nakada actually yelled to tell us to be quiet. One words were green and she refers to a show why people call them each other that. The bell is about to ring, and I have nothing really to talk about. Bye.

Today was Tuesday, probably one of my favorite days of the week. However, it went from good to worse because David picked me to type up the blog.Yay...might as well do it. At the beginning of class, we listened as David read his blog out to the class. His blog was pretty neat. After that we had started to discuss the quote of the week and the question of the week. We then added to our English scores by adding scores for The Outsiders test, Book Project #2, and Reading Journals 7.1 - 7.4 .  Well, the day is almost over, so I'm awfully sorry this is short. Anyway, I hoped you enjoyed hearing me read my awful blog. Gotta go, my dudes!

P.S Sorry, this is short, but you can't blame me. It's Tuesday, and there is really nothing to write about.

HW Have the best weekend EVER!

Sixth period began with the usual: we read the blog and the blogger gets to chooses who gets to blog next. Unfortunately, I was chosen. At first, the class was loud to the point you can hear them from about five rooms away. As the class finally got quiet, I think about how I can get back at Dylan, because he's the reason I'm doing the blog in the first place.

I overhear Ms. Nakada talking to a student about the HW. As I still hear people talking, we met a person named Jake and somebody said "It's Jake from State Farm!" Ms. Nakada explained to the class that Jake used to come to Emerson.

I'm hoping I don't stop typing because this is more fun than getting my journal checked and ending up getting a call home. Although I don't do the RJ sometimes, I kind of want to, for some reason. Now, Ms. Nakada is telling the class that if we don't like our books to just switch our books. I'll just stick with mine since it's a very detailed book. Someone offered me a free Samsung, which I would've accepted, couldn't take it because he took it back and gave it to it's owner. The reason I don't put names in my blog is because I don't like to talk about people. Honestly, I don't know, it just makes me feel guilty, ok, don't judge me.

I wish this day would end so I can go home, watch Pokemon on Netflix, and go to sleep. As another student comes in the room, another student says "He gonna make some chicken noodle soup." To be honest if he yelled that it would've been funnier. As we review revising, a English vocab word, we also review a new vocab word. We find ourselves looking at what to publish, where to publish what you want, and how we our going to publish that poem or story.

As a student keeps on annoying me, another reason I want to go home, I am still hoping to go home. The class got loud again and all I heard was that Mr. Bangert hated Aaron and Michael.  I said I wouldn't like talking about people or saying names but I'm at the point people should meet other people you understand? Anyway were told to get out a piece of paper to probably write. By the way, it's Julian who's annoying me. The bell rang and the chairs make a lot of noise, my wish finally came true.

David R's First blog

Class started loud and troublesome, as always. Ms. Nakada told us to copy the agenda. Which was Blog/Rj check free quick write editor submissions writer's workshop homework was Rj 7.4.

Ms. Nakada, then told us to take out a red pen to finish correcting the test. Well, it's taking forever to start, so I'll tell you about my fellow classmates: Michael is being a bit too loud and I am pretty sure I am not the only one who's noticed this, which isn't much of a surprise since this is the loudest class I have ever had the pleasure or unpleasure of being in.

Ms. Nakada is telling us the answers for the test. Well, it's kind of getting boring, so I'll wait for something interesting to come up. Ms. Nakada finished telling the answers and is telling us the percents for every grade. People are happy that they got a good grade and are showing this by screaming about how they got a good grade, because I am pretty sure it is the first time.

As the bell gets closer, class is getting louder and rowdier and I am getting excited as well. Ms. Nakada is talking to us about writer's workshop and then tells us how JK Rowling created the Harry Potter world and Stephanie Meyer created Twilight, which I think is pretty weird. If I had a dream about vampires, I would just think it's weird and not write a book about it, but that's me, I guess.

Sixth period started out normal, Ms. Nakada told Diamond to read her blog to the class. The class was a little loud, but when Diamond started to read the class stopped talking for a bit, but when there was a misspelled name someone would shout out. After Diamond read, she chose me to do the next blog. I was hoping she wouldn't choose me, but Ms. Nakada said everyone will do a blog eventually. I walked to the computer and started typing. As class went on, Ms. Nakada asked everyone to take out the RJ HW. She made a few phone calls because some kids didn't do their homework. Shortly after that, Ms. Nakada handed out red pens to grade their test. The class began to get louder and louder. As Ms. Nakada started talking about the test, the class went silent. No one was talking but someone was tapping their pen against the desk and it was getting annoying. When the teacher was talking to the class she got a phone call from Nancy's guardian. It was about not doing HW. The teacher helped the class correct their test and she told them what points they should have if they got it all right. I noticed the class tended to get loud when Ms. Nakada was not talking. The period seems like it's going to end with the class grading their test. The bell was about to ring, the class got louder, and kids seemed happy. I have to go. Typing the blog was kind of cool. Bye.

After that, Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out their English notebooks to write down their English scores. Some people were passing out papers, and that's when it started getting loud. So, Ms. Nakada came, grabbed two water bottles and asked if they were anyone's. No one answered, so she said she was gonna give it away if nobody claims it.
So, I'm sitting in class and Michael and Allyson start telling me I snort when I laugh and Michael keeps talking and talking. So, I have nothing else to talk about because it's an early day. Then, Ms. Nakada tells everyone to add up their points and I hear Erin say that she thought she had a D in the class. The bell rings and I have to leave. Good bye.

Jazlynn read's her blog and she picked me. Ms. Nakada started talking about people who are trying to ban books.  Ms. Nakada starts writing down the question of the week. Now, Ms. Nakada starts checking reading journals. People are taking the ar test, and it's also reader's workshop. It's really quiet.

Jazlynn's first blog

AGENDA:
Step-Up to Writing
test completion
reader's / writer's workshop
collect book projects
HW:
Have a good weekend!

Sixth period started and Sharon read her blog. I told her to pick me, so I could get this over with, even though I really don't want to do this. There's nothing much to talk about, so I apologize if my blog is
boring. Ms. Nakada taught us about Step-Up to writing, which is a color-coded writing strategy that helps with organization and structure. Ms. Nakada and Erin passed out the tests that we started yesterday to finish today. I wasn't able to write much because I had to finish my test. I'm glad I survived another week of school and can't wait for the weekend. The bells about to ring, so bye!

HW: Book Projects due tomorrow!

My sixth period class came in and was loud and rambunctious as usual.

Once the bell rang, everyone took out Binder Reminders and wrote down the agenda. Sharon K. came up and read her blog. She said it was boring, but it really wasn't. Nice work.

Then, we got started on The Outsiders test. Students worked diligently for the class period, while I graded reading journals.

I had to talk with Julian in the hall, and while that was happening, Erin shot her hair tie across the room. I took away a point from Jazlynn, because she was laughing, but I'll probably give it back, since it was all Erin's fault.

After the bell rang, I collected tests and dismissed the class.

See you tomorrow. I hope everyone has book projects ready to turn in.

Agenda:
Blog/RJ
Collect RUP
Step-up to Writing
Writer's Workshop
HW:
-Review notes for quiz tomorrow
-RJ 6.3 (15-20 pages)
- BOOK PROJECT DUE FRIDAY!

Sixth period started off loud and rowdy as usual. As we sat down, we took out our binder reminders and wrote down the homework. After, Janan read her blog, she chose me to do the next one. Next, we started Reader's Workshop and quietly read our novels. The only sounds that I could hear was the shuffling of papers and the typing of the laptop keys. Nothing really interesting happened, except for Ms. Nakada whispering to students about them not passing their AR quizzes. Next, we took out our English notebooks and wrote down the summary of chapter 12 of The Outsiders. But instead, we got off topic and discussed the book projects around the room. After a few minutes of the book project discussion, we continued with writing the summaries. I left to go grab a sheet of paper to write down the summary. So, now I'm writing a blog and writing summaries. I suck at multitasking, but I'll do my best. My blog is super boring so I'm really sorry, Ms. Nakada. The bell is about to ring so, bye.

Janan's First Blog

Agenda:Blog RJ/RUP Forms T.O. ch. 6-12 Writer's Workshop

Homework:RJ 6.2 15-20 pages of your book. RUP Forms!

Sixth period started off normally, but Jasmine was not here to read her blog, so Yaritzel did. When she was finished reading Jasmine's blog, she got to choose who writes the next blog. At first, she chose Anthony, but he said he already wrote one, so she chose me.

As I got up, Erin looked at me and said she told Yaritzel to choose me. Speaking of Erin, she can be funny a times, but she is annoying. Ms. Nakada called on students to make a pile at the aisle of reading journals, so she can check them.

As Ms. Nakada is checked reading journals, students are reading the books they chose to read for class. Ms. Nakada told everybody to stop what they're doing and listen to her. She read a page of the book How My Sister Went Crazy.

She gave everyone something to use as a bookmark and gave out a piece of paper. The title of it was Responsible Use Policy for District Computer Systems (RUP). We need to bring it back signed tomorrow. It's worth 10 points. I didn't get to write a lot because it's a 37 minute period today. I'm amazed my blog is still here, since Michael kept writing, bye. Responsible use, Michael!

Well, the bell rang bye.

Jasmine's First Blog

Agenda
Blog  Q&Q
The Outsiders Ch 6-12
Intro to writer's workshop
Hw RJ 6.1 15-20 pages or your book

In sixth period, the class started off by us reading Yaritzel's blog. After that, she had to pick someone to do the blog. Sadly, she had to pick me. I'll get back at her eventually :).

Next, we wrote down the quote of the week, and the question of the week. Then, we had to write summaries for Ch. 9-10 of The Outsiders. Since everyone talks about Erin in their blogs, she just asked Ms. Nakada about how it felt to work as a life guard, and where she worked. Erin is nice and funny, and she always calls me by my last name, Ms. Raymundo. Enough about Erin.

After we wrote our summaries, Ms. Nakada had said she forgot we hadn't started our Independent Reading plan for the fall semester. Then, we had to write down ten books that we wanted to read during the fall. It's almost time to go now and I'm happy about that. Ms. Nakada is going around grading people's notebooks to check if they have been doing their reading journals. She said she is going to call parents tomorrow if they don't have them. The bell just rang, and now I'm going to leave, bye.
