RJ 14.2 on one poem
18 poem drafts!
Adrian picked me to do the blog, so....here it is. Class started off as usaual on a Tuesday. Rowdy but somewhat chill. Ms. Nakada then started to check reading journals on the poems we read. Some people were lazy and didn't do the reading journals, but that ain't my problem. We then start to read poem "Kitchenette Building" by Gwendolyn Brooks. Ms. Nakada then shows us images of the National Mall located in Washington, D.C. We then listened to an interview with Elizabeth Alexander. We then start to compare "Harlem" by Langston Hughes and "Kitchenette Building" by Gwendolyn Brooks.
