Return all of Ms. Nakada's books & supplies!
Here I am writing another blog. I didn't want to first but this is the last blog of the year. Diamond reads her blog and then chooses me. Ms. Nakada starts naming all these different books and students name books they recommend. While she is doing that, I am writing a letter to Ms. Nakada. As I was writing my letter, I remembered so many memories throughout the school year. Like we are literally on our last blog, soon we will be in a new school not seeing the same faces. I will really miss that, this honestly makes me sad, here writing the last blog.
Ms. Nakada passes out a sheet that I think she wrote a few years back. This was honestly very heart touching , because everything on their was so true. Life out there is not easy, I will take this with me and keep all of this in mind. After this, Yari comes over and acts like she is cying because she will miss me but little did she know we are hanging out all the time. Stephanie comes over being rude but I love you ! Everyone is now signing the little books Ms. Nakada handed out. This is enough for the day, until next time 6th period class of 2017. I will miss you guys. Bye !

supplies
Hi human's. So, sixth period started out with Stephanie's blog,it was good. I asked her to pick me for the blog so Nancy didn't have to. I'll pick her next though( I'm a good friend). We read a quote from Ghandi, and Ms. Nakada made a reference to Man in the Mirror by Micheal Jackson. Allyson and I were dancing from like ten feet away. Because we have that connection. We hear an announcment about textbooks, and how we need to turn them in or we cant go to the culmination rehearsal. And I asked Ms. Nakada what I should do, becuase my mom said that if we don't have enough tickets, their crashing graduation.
We take out our English notebooks & portfolios to do grades. I get back my seventh grade portfolio, and I'm hit with all of these memories that were so long ago( not the long but you get the point). JANAN WAS HERE AND IM HO-LY.
Enjoy your week!!!!!!!!!!!! BYE! :)

First, class started as the usual manner, loud and annoying. We tried to read Micheal's blog, but he was not there at the time, so we just went straight to the lesson. We were told to get line paper or, raise your hand to get white piece of paper. We were told to go get three quotes on one of our World War II literature books on our desks. As we work on our annotations, Adrian and Carlos were called out on not being on task.
For a while, we worked on our projects, which was really interesting by the way. Who changed my blog title???

Hello so, 6th period started off by Jazlynn picking me to do the blog :(. Then, Ms. Nakada was talking to us about how next Friday survivors from the Holocaust are going to be coming into every period and talking about how it was being alive during the Holocaust. Then, people were being rude and not paying attention to the teacher and she called on Jazlynn and many more people I can't quite remember and she was saying how rude they were being and Jazlynn talked back. Somehow I heard Ms. Nakada say that she was going to be telling them not to book someone for 6th period because we were being rude. Then, we started doing Reader/ Writers workshop and it got quiet. Then we started doing our Notebook checks and she was calling out peoples names and asking for their scores. All I could hear was Carlos and Jazlynn yelling at each other and then he pulled her hair. After that, we started doing our 18 week grades and people were just adding them up. We have 5 minutes and I have nothing else to write about. Never mind we are packing up now thank god! I now have to do the blog again tomorrow so yay! (issa joke)

I guess I'm doing the blog today, yay (obviously sarcasm).
We came into sixth period and did our daily class routine: write down our agenda/hw and talking instead of sitting down in our seats quietly. Genesis read her blog and unfortunately chose me to write the next one :(. Next, Ms. Nakada asked people what books they were reading for their rj's (which most people don't even do anymore), and took Micheal out of the classroom to talk to him 'cause he said something rude and dumb? And someone sneezed and the whole class said, "bless you," which made me wonder why no one blesses me when I sneeze... Next, Ms. Nakada handed out Chipotle card thingy-ma-jigys to the people who reached half a million words on AR. Now, there's nothing to type because no one's doing anything interesting. I just realized this blog is super duper boring, I apologize. Then, Connor and Jacob walked into our classroom to hand Ms. Nakada water when she asked for utensils. How do you even mistake utensils for water? They aren't even close, but okay. For some reason, Gabriel randomly got up from his chair to read my blog and he wouldn't go away (?). Now, I officially have nothing else to write (lololololololol). I think this is the longest blog I've ever written... Even though, this isn't even that long, lawl. Currently, Ms. Nakada's getting mad at Erin for something and Max started butting in and Erin got super salty and told him to shut up. Then, Ms. Nakada started talking about culmination speeches and the essay contest. It's really cold in here and I wanna say I'm freezing to death, but I'm not. Ms. Nakada tries reading one of her essays (I think) but everyone kept talking and being rude, that she had to send like two people out of classroom and give like five people warnings. So, she gave up and the class continued Reader's Workshop in silence. It's not even close to the end of class and I already feel like I've been sitting here for days. The class is actually really quiet (for the first time in forever) that I'm scared to type on the keyboard because I might break the silence. We finally take out our poetry packets and annotate "O Captain! My Captain!" by Walt Whitman. I'm bored, hungry, tired, and I want to go home. Then, Nakada guides us through a CAASSP practice test, so we can prepare for next week. I just realized, I've been sitting here, doing the blog, for two hours, lol. The bell's about to ring so, byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

They did a get lit. Their response poem was good. After, I heard Bailei say, "Erin, why'd you crumple my paper!" After that, Diamond, Diana, Genisis and Allyson did their poem. It was good, they had it memorized. Chris, Adrian and Carlos does their presentation next. They don't have it memorized. Adrian didn't read anything because he wrote the poem. Now, Jason, Diamond K and Sharon K do their poem. It was kinda long. Netalia, Erin, and I did ours next. I forgot the last two lines. Tyray did his next. I didn't really hear it though. Bailei does her's but I couldn't hear her either. Sam does his. It's called, "Different." I liked it. Jasmine and Jazlynn just did theirs. I didn't hear it. Micheal, Anthony and Sharon present theirs: not memorized. It was kind of hard to hear because they were talking quietly, but what I heard was good. I hear Jason yell my name. When I look up, he waves at me. Daniel and Chris H presents their response poem. They had it memorized. Umm.. the bell is about to ring, so bye.

After that we take out our poetry packets and read a poem by William Carlos Williams. It was called "This is Just to Say." We had to try to wright a "This is Just to Stay" poem. The bell is about to ring sorry its a early day so bye.

OPEN HOUSE TONIGHT!
It's sad that I got picked to do the next blog. I don't know what I did to David but he picked me. The class started out with everyone writing in their agenda, like usual. We then move onto Nakada checking everyone's poems in their reading journal. I was hoping for some phone calls home, but unfortunately there were no phone calls, at least not you. Next, on the agenda we start choral reading, "There Are Birds Here" by Jamaal May. Everyone underlines and makes annotations. Nakada then says for everyone to take out where there writing their poems. I hear Nakada say, "Unless you have two poems, i'm calling home." But I thought she was calling home the first time when she checked reading journals at the beginning of class but eh... XD. The class became silent when Nakada became serious about writing poems or something. For the next 20 minutes, I spend time writing my awesome poem and the class writing their poems in silence. It's time to go so I'm going home. XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

5 Poem Drafts
Class starts and David R reads his blog. I tried to avoid being chosen by making an excuse to use the restroom. Unfortunately, I came back to early and he chose me. Ms. Nakada checks reading journals, and then begins to do the book brackets. I voted for The Bible but, sadly it lost. Although it was as a joke, I still hoped for it to win. Ms. Nakada then announced that the 5 people that had the most points would get a lunch from In-N-Out. I couldn't do it because I was busy typing the blog. Ms. Nakada then told the class to take out our poem sheets. Ms. Nakada then lets Diamond A. read a poem. Max then volunteers to read a poem too. Max then starts saying "Snip, snap, snip, snap." It seemed funny to me. Ms. Nakada then starts discussing about the two poems. Ms. Nakada then talks about the importance of repetition. The rest, sadly, got deleted.

HW rj 13.2 on 1 poem
4 poem drafts
As class started everyone is being awfully loud, Ms. Nakada tells us to be quiet and to copy the agenda. She asks us if we did our poems, and most of us did. Then, we read Dylan's blog and Ms. Nakada notices that Dylan's blog has a comment, and the person tells us that Dylan's blog is okay, but fourth periods are better. I'm not too sure if it's true or not. Dylan decides to choose me. Yay, well, not really, Ms. Nakada passes "Aunt Sue's Stories" and a lot of people don't have the paper. Ms. Nakada sends Gabriel to get more papers and when he comes back a few minutes later he tells us that the printer isn't working. Erin thinks she could find more papers, but Ms. Nakada said it's ok. The class is quiet. Ms. Nakada asks Daniel what he thinks about the poem the class is having a discussion about the poem. Everyone is quiet for a change. The class is quiet and writing their poems. Ms. Nakada asks us if someone wants to read their poem. Genesis reads hers. I think is good. Nancy reads hers, and Diamond quickly follows. See you.

Then, Ms. Nakada put a video with a bird in the snow and read a poem by Howard Nemerov. Then, we talk about the poem of what all the words relate to. After we did that, we had to do a poem that is a reminiscing poem, a not today poem, and a blank of love poem. Well, the bell is about to ring, so bye. If this blog is short, I don't care. I'm tired. I may not write much, 'cause I tried to make the agenda look good. I'm not going to tell who chose me for the blog. Ms. Nakada tells jasmine that she has shade on her hand. Then, we start on national poetry writing month. We have to write 20 poems this month, which I'm not happy about at all. Ms. Nakada tells one of poem, which she has collections. David and Carlos were fooling around in the back of me. Bull Run is starting I'm happy to be doing the blog. Sorry if this blog is very uninteresting. It's been very uninteresting these past 10 minutes. My other blogs had so much more going on, no drama at all. Chris, the other Chris sometimes wanders the class like a ghost. For some reason he's not all ways there in his seat in class. David wasn't working with his group in the bull. I thought something funny was going to happen this whole, but I guess I was wrong. Anyway, again sorry if this blog was boring. bye!

So, sixth started off, for me, really noisy, and then, I guess Raheem pushed Soren. He fell, so everyone started to laugh, and Ms. Nakada felt hurt about the rest of the kids laughing about Soren falling. Then, we did the quote and the question of the week. Then, I forgot to put Bailei in the blog. Then, we started to talk about women and girls and how they are treated in society. We talked about the Black girls in Washington who are missing. Then, we just passed things out and then we did English scores. Then, we do our book bracket for the rest of the period, I think that is all we are doing for the rest of the period. Sorry the blog is so short bye.

We start the period as always, talking obnoxiously. After getting shushed by Ms. Nakada, we started to listen to Nancy read her blog, by the way, it was good. Before the period started, some people and I saw the weird sentence that Ms. Nakada put on the board, "lets eat dad, i love to cook kittens and my sisters." It was changed to, "Let's eat, Dad. I love cooking, kittens, and my sisters," during our session of our English Conjunctions. Also, during comma drama, Ms. Nakada taught us how to use commas correctly. During this time, she warned some kids that they would have to turn their tables to keep complete focus on the board. While not really paying attention to the lesson, I noticed how ancient Ms. Nakada's laptop was with Firewire and a olden style of a display port. The USB ports are 1.0 and the diskdrive is motorized. The Mac still uses Magsafe.
Erin tried to challenge Ms. Nakada, insisting that she was not talking. The students moved the tables as Ms. Nakada was fed up with the talking. We started on a new thing in the class, Literature Circles. She started telling us the roles in this new mode of class. For this first lesson we work on the book Bull Run. For the rest of the period we work on this task.

It's a sunny, and kind of rainy, day here at Emerson. I walk into class looking for my new seat. I'm happy I sit next to friends. We start off sixth period, as always, writing down the agenda, and then we take out our journals for reader's workshop. We started off talking about the capitalization of proper noun, and it brought me back to elementary. I don't know why we were talking about capitalization, even though we already know, the only problem is when we are typing, we make mistakes with capitilization. Yaritzel and Stephanie want to be in my blog, so good for you, you made it. While I was writing down my notes, like I was supposed to, I hear Erin whisper, "Hey Nancy, you should put me in your blog." There you go, Erin. Ms. Nakada sends out a student while we were learning, because I guess she was talking. I nicely ask Erin a question, and she just starts giving me attitude. That's our weird friendship. Students pass out the book brackets, and I remember I lost mine, so I asked Ms. Nakada for one. Meanwhile, Yaritzel came over to talk to me. Ms. Nakada starts naming the books, that I guess won. Then, we start voting for the third round. I laugh because I can hear Anthony just making random comments. LOL! It's an early day and thank God we didn't do as much today and it's a early day. Everyone, of course, raised their hand when The Outsiders was called. I mean, come on, that is like a popular book everyone actually read. The bell is about to ring, and your girl, Nancy has things to do. Adios. (Bye)

As usual, Ms.Nakada checked reading journals and updated the class with new information. At the moment, everyone is reading their book of choice for Reader's Workshop while I'm stuck typing this blog. I can't function over here because Tyary is being a distraction but he's also giving some more stuff to add to my blog. The bell might ring before I can actually add what I really want to my blog but getting out at 1:30 makes me happy so it's not that bad. ALLYSON WAS HERE AND BAILEI'S FAVORITE NUMBER IS 304 .

complete final
HW: RJ 9.1 - 9.4
due Monday
The class started, and we graded our binders. I see Allyson dab and say "it's my birthday." Ms. Nakada saw someone play with the books, and she made a reference to the Moana movie. She said that Moana put and stone on the tower of stones. But since that is my favorite movie I had to correct her and tell her it was conch shell. We then talk about Gloria Steinem and how she dressed up as a playboy bunny to see how she would be treated. Allyson is saying how her jawline can cut you. I look to the class and see Julian put on his sunglasses, he's cool(sarcastic). Diana and Allyson apparently think that I type like the Flash. Shout out to Barry Allen.
We start talking about how the dress code, and how some of the things that target girls only. The class starts talking, and I can see that Ms. Nakada was frustrated. She tells us about the school St. Paul and how they can't wear nail polish. If you know me, you know I would wear nail polish just to be petty. Everyone does their English scores and, Diana is making me die with her and Allyson's weird war cry. Max thinks that my sweater says "party", but it says park. PARK, in case I wear it again and people ask. Anthony walks up to me and reads the blog while my back is turned. The class is quiet, and everyone is finishing their final if they haven't already. Erin was saying how my backpack for Washington will be messy and sugar honey iced tea like that. We work until the bell rings. Its too quiet in here so I'm gonna go now. See ya later, Alligator.

One example of taking a stand in the book was when Atticus took the case to defending Tom Robinson. Atticus took the case because he felt Tom wasn't guilty. The class started out slightly different, there was less noise, but still loud. Ms. Nakada says which class read the most and which students read the most. The thing we do the most in the blog is say why we got chosen, so I'm not going to add that in my blog. Anyway, Ms. Nakada starts to talk about TKAM. We find out what is faithful and what is departs in the movie. I've noticed Ms. Nakada always drinks her drinks for a slight break. I didn't get to see the part where walter drips the syrup all over his food in the movie, so I can't relate to. Gabriel says that this part relates to cannibalism for some reason. Gabriel knows to much I think.
We go to departs and they didn't have miss maudies house fire. In the movie dill doesn't run away, no food from the black community. I'm sorry if sounds wrong Ms. Nakada, I got kind of uninterested for a little bit. This blog is boring, and I'm sorry. Ms. Nakada says the panoramic picture looks better if everyone's in white. We started doing readers workshop and I left my book at home today but I still remember what happened in my book. I'm remember missing one of the questions in TKAM, even though Ms. Nakada gave us all the answers to the AR. There is 15 mintutes left till class ends. Michael gets in trouble again again, and again. For some reason, Michael always focuses on Anthony. It has been like that all the time and it's a little weird. I'm sorry if this blog is boring, but barely anything happens, it feels kind of cliche. Michael gets in trouble 5 times in Nakada's class, sorry make that 6. michael and anthony look at each other again. There is 5 minutes to class everything is the same, michael fooling around and everyone is focused on reading and taking there AR test. This blog may seem like I'm hating on Michael, but I'm not. He is a good kid sometimes, but sometimes. The bell is about to ring. Sorry if this blog is boring. Bye!

HW: RJ 8.2 Read 15 - 20 pages of a book of your choice
Oh boy, it's Tuesday. A great day because we get released early. So we start off the day by having our daily blog read by David today. I haven't done the blog in a while so I knew I was going to be chosen sooner or later. And, surprise I was picked to do it today. Next, Ms. Nakada asks the class to take out their reading journals so she could make sure we did em'. Afterward we then are told to take out our class notebooks so we can finish up our notes. We then finish up our plot lines and start to discuss how Atticus took a stand for Tom Robinson and how other characters in To Kill a Mockingbird also portrayed examples of taking a stand. We then started to discuss about the TKAM AR Test. After we discuss the question and answers of the AR test, everyone grabs a device and gets to work while I sit here typing this.
Oh would ya' look at the time. The bells about to ding, and I feel awfully sick. See ya!

We started of class somewhat talkative. We first listened to David R's blog and corrected it. I then got chosen by him because, actually I don't know. Ms. Nakada then tells the class to take out their English Notebook's. We wrote down the question and quote of the week. The question of the week is "What awards or honors does one list on college applications?" and the quote was "Awards become corroded, friends gather no dust." by Jesse Owens. Ms. Nakada then talks about how Jesse Owens proved to the world that the German's were not the best, or superior. Ms. Nakada then talks about oustide accomplishments that we may use to put on our college applications, such as bieng a musician, playing sports and getting to the finals/semi-finals, etc.
Ms. Nakada then explains that we are basically aloud to slack off, but shouldn't. Ms. Nakada then talks about highschool and how if we slack off in highschool, you're basically going to dropout and waste a whole year and must redo that year. Ms. Nakada then talks about how some of her old students don't contact her because of them bieng ashamed. Gtg, I want to see TKAM movie, peace.

Class starts and it's rowdy, as always, but we quickly settle down Ms. Nakada tells the class to take out their reading journals. Everybody takes them out and Ms. Nakada explains what happens to us. We find out that Bob Ewell has died. We start to listen to the audio and everybody is quiet and listening attentively. Ms. Nakada tells us to grade our reading journal, and then she tells us about the book Go Set A Watchman that tells about Scout when she is all grown up.
We start to watch the movie everybody, and it returns to being loud. Ms. Nakada asks if we want to watch the movie and everybody responds yes. Ms. Nakada tells Carlos, Michael, Jasmine and Julian to be quiet. The class goes quiet again and nothing interesting is happening. Ms. Nakada tells Michael that just because he has his hood on doesn't make him invisible. Nothing else has happened and the bell's about to ring, so bye.

So, today as class starts ,Ms. Nakada said, "Take out your binder reminders and write down the agenda." So, as I'm writing the agenda, Diamond is reading the blog. While I'm just writing the agenda down. So, as always Ms. Nakada goes to read the blog as always. So, Ms. Nakada tells everyone to put everything away so we can get ready to watch the movie. As she puts the movie on, Jemieh, but as everyone calls him Tyray, said, "I haven't talked to you in a long time" and I responded back, "Yeah, I know." So, as the movie starts playing we get to see the part we read in the book where Atticus was in court defending Tom Robinson. In my opinion, I think this was my favorite part of the book. So, as there's 20 minutes left in class, I decided that I've summarized the class period good enough, and yea bye.

The class started off a little loud, but not too loud. Diana started off by reading her third blog. A After she read her blog, she chose me to do it. The class started by taking out their reading journals. Ms. Nakada started off by talking about the book To Kill Mockingbird. While she was talking some people were being really rude. Ms. Nakada didn't get to talk about the book because some people didn't read the book. Earlier, Ms. Nakada had that if we didn't do the reading journal, we weren't allowed to go to the black history month assembly. Anyway, back to what I was going to say, after talking about the book we took out our English notebooks and did the five week grades. After we were done, we we glued ''Sonnet 18'' piece in our note book.

Then, Diamond wanted to read the poem. After she was done reading, the class was talking so much that Ms. Nakada had to tell the whole class to be quiet, and everyone knows that Ms. Nakada wasn't feeling well. We started going over the poem, and the class quieted down at that time. Ms. Nakada had to tell Micheal a whole bunch of times to be quiet, but he just wouldn't be quiet. After we were done, Ms. Nakada told everyone to pack up. The bell rang and that was the end of class. Bye

It was a rainy Monday here at Emerson when my sixth period came in. Then, the bell rang to start our English class.
Daniel read his blog from Friday, and then we went over the question and quote of the week.
The quote was from NBA great Jerry West. He says, "You don't get much done if you only work on days when you feel like it." I needed this quote this morning, because, to be honest, I was not feeling particularly energetic or like I was going to be able to get much done.
Then, we talked about the question which was, "What is mental toughness and how does it relate to success?" We discussed how the quote and the question are connected. If you can be mentally tough and believe in your abilities, you can become successful.
We then got iPads and keyboards and started on the interim assessment. Everyone logged on and was able to get to work. Everyone worked diligently until the end of the period.

The class then takes out their agenda's to check them and get points. We move onto taking out reading journals and grade. Nakada collects book projects and the class takes out books to start listening to the audio for To Kill a Mockingbird. The audio starts playing and I'm already bored. At the moment I have nothing to write about because everyone is quiet and the book audio is playing. There's about 20 minutes left until class ends. Today, sixth period finally started off normal. Netalia read her blog and chose someone just like we do almost everyday. Once again, I was chosen to do another blog without wanting to, but I usually always put 100% effort into it while the rest of the class continues to carry on with their work. Nancy wanted to me to shout her out in the blog in some way so why not. Nancy's birthday is coming up so Happy super early birthday to you buddy! Now, the class is having an open disscusion about To Kill a Mockingbird and going over missing reading journals. We wrote English scores and recorded our grades. We recorded ways the movie is faithful or departs from the book.
I know sixth period started off rough because of our class's mishap yesterday with a substitute but in all honesty we're pretty good kids most of the time, some of us actually. No worries though, she stated she wasn't coming back to emerson anytime soon but since I have nothing left to really go on about. I choose Jason to do the next blog if he hasn't already. OH AND AN APOLOGY TO MS. NAKADA BECAUSE I WAS BEING SUCH A PAIN EARLIER but it was all for a fair cause though, I just couldn't interpet it in a more polite but thanks for putting up with us (Mostly me along with Nancy and Jason).

So, sixth period started, and Yaritzel read her blog and after Ms. Nakada asked her to choose someone and I didn't want to go up. She chose me anyways. But, I doesn't matter anymore because either way I was going to have to do it anyways. So, after she chose me, Ms. Nakada asked the class to take out their English notebooks to write down the question and quote of the week. The quote of the week was, "If you have the feeling that something is wrong, don't be afraid to speak up." ~ Fred Korematsu and the question of the week is "How important is it for young people to stay informed of current events." Since I was doing the blog I had asked Stephanie to write down the Q&Q of the week for me. So, after discussing the Q&Q of the week Ms. Nakada said "time to correct the test, and no clicker pens." Erin then asked to help out pass the test out. After the test was passed out Ms. Nakada kindly ask to listen carefully because she was reading the answer out not saying the letter. When done correcting the tests Stephanie had told me she thinks we have about the same score. Ms. Nakada asked everyone did anyone get a perfect score and nobody raised their hand. So, she said "fine everyone take out a piece of notebook paper so we can do test corrections and at least earn five more points. As the students start writing their corrections Erin calls me and asked me to put her in the log I told her she already was but I guess I just added her in again. Ms. Nakada had said when your done staple test corrections on top and set it on my desk top. Well anyways the bell is about to ring and i need to finish my corrections so, BYE.

So, class started off by correcting Stephanie's blog. The Ms. Nakada started to talk about how her father fell off the roof. For some reason, I just can't stop laughing in my head. Then, we started to correct the Reading Journals and Ms. Nakada explains that she will be something of the speech and debate team. I forgot what she said exactly because I was correcting my Reading Journal. What she read was inspirational, to be honest. I'm really sleepy but I don't want to be rood and fall asleep like I did in Ms. Montgomery. So, I am trying to stay entertained and it's actually working. Then, Ms. Nakada starts to talk about the "Get Lit" thingy. I turn around to translate something and Stephanie starts to laugh then says she doesn't know why she's talking to me and then asks Chris, "Do you hear someone talking? " I guess that's just her but okay. There is nothing else to talk 'bout so bye. Have a great weekend.

So, now Ms. Nakada is reading what happens in chapter nine. Ms. Nakada told the class to take out thier English notebooks. Ms. Nakada told everybody to make a tri-fold. And title it "Taking A Stand." Ms. Nakada was talking about how some sixth graders would scream and nobody would help them. Then, Ms. Nakada is talking about taking a stand and some ways of taking a stand by saying words. Then, Erin is taking about how she told a boy his eye color was like a booger. After that, Ms. Nakada is taking about how you need a historical person take a stand. Also, we need a character from To Kill A Mockingbird. Ms. Nakada is very stressed out about how much this class plays around, and how Julian didn't even start his paper. Ms. Nakada pronounced Isaac's name wrong and Micheal makes fun of Ms. Nakada and she is saying it is not nice. Then, he says he wasn't making fun of Ms. Nakada. Then, Ms. Nakada forgives him. After that Ms. Nakada tells everyone to turn to a new page and title it The Golden Rule by Karen Armstrong. Ms. Nakada tells everybody that we are going to watch a Ted talk about her version of the golden rule. "Always treat all others as you'd like to be treated yourself" that is the good part of the golden rule Karen says. "Don't do to others what you would Not like them to do to you" this is the bad part of the golden rule. Well, class is ending so, I have to leave bye.

RJ 3.2 TKAM Ch.9
Class started off with Erin reading her blog. When she finished reading it, she chose me. I didn't really wanna do it but at least I'm getting it over with. So, the class is doing the question and quote of the week. The quote of the week is "You never really understand a person until you consider things from this point of view. Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it." Atticus Finch. The question of the week is, "Do you follow the golden rule? Example?" Ms. Nakada gave an example about slapping someone in the face and I heard Bailei say, "I didn't slap him, I punched him." or something along the line of that. Then, Ms. Nakada said when she was in elementary school she punched a kid. Now, Ms. Nakada is having everyone take out their English notebooks. While people are doing that, Julian tells a story about how he threw a brick at a teacher's window and broke it. The class drew another element of plot and wrote, "Will Atticus and Tom Robinson win their case?" Ms. Nakada told us that we're hear about the case soon. Now, Ms. Nakada said to take out reading journals. They're writing the summary for chapter 8 of To Kill A Mockingbird in class. After the class wrote down chapter 8, Ms. Nakada said we're gonna listen to chapter 9. We listened to a few pages of the chapter. Then, Ms. Nakada paused it to talk about how Atticus will defend a black man in court. Then, Ms. Nakada unpaused it to listen to more. We didn't get to finish listening to it 'cause we only have 3 minutes left of class. Then, out of nowhere I heard Erin talk about how she saw a dead bird by Ms. Wilson's class. Well, the bell rang I wanna go home. BYE!!

So now that everybody is quiet we are doing Reader's Workshop and reading To Kill A Mockingbird. Now there is not really anything to talk about becuase everybody is not doing anything but moving around in their seats and being busy bodies. So, I turn around and all I see is Janan talking to me telling me to put her n the blog and I really don't know why she told me to because she was already going to be in the blog. I really just want to go home beacuse it is Friday and we only have a few minutes left of class but I don't really want to end blog yet.

So, the class stared off with Allyson reading her blog. I kind of told her to pick me so thank you for telling me. After that, Ms. Nakada told the class to take out their reading joournals she choses a lot of people to read their reading journals from last night but no body to read it and then finally some one wants to read it. So, since everbody is doing their reading journal check, I went back to my seat and correct my journal and came back to finsh this blog. The only reason I told Allyson to pick me is because I wanted to get this over with. But today was a really rainy day and sad and depressing. So, now it is all quiet and and then all I hear is Julian going "scur scur" which, to be honest, is really annoying, then next thing I hear is Max and David making all of these weird sounds.
So now that everybody is quiet we are doing Reader's Workshop and reading To Kill A Mockingbird. So, for the rest of the period, I think that we are going to read this chapter. I really dont know what to talk about and I am really bored. ( really sorry Ms. Nakada your class is not boring). So, the bell's about to ring and everyody is packing up so BBBBBBBYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEE. BOOP.

Hi. Class has started and Diamond read her blog. After Diamond read her blog, she was looking for someone to pick, we made eye contact for a second, but I was really trying to hide so she wouldn't pick me. It didn't go as I planned so now I'm here writing the blog. Ms. Nakada told the class what should be in their reading journal. I kinda zoned off for a while but Erin calling my name snapped me out of it, she told me to put her in the blog so Erin you're in my blog.
Ms. Nakada told us to take out a piece of paper for our quick write. The quick write was about why people take a stand. We needed to provide evidence from To Kill A Mockingbird, MLK Jr., and Sojourner Truth. Everyone worked because this was the ticket out the door.
The bell rang so BYEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ch.6
When sixth period starts, I sit down and Erin is calling everyone "bootyface." We correct Nancy's blog, and I ask her to pick me because I want to get this over with. She only picked me because I told her I would pick Natalia. Sorry, but I don't want to do this later.
We take out our reading journals, and Erin, Diamond, and Diana ask me to put them in the blog. So... there you go. We discuss the chapter, and Ms. Nakada is saying that she likes Miss Maudie. Everyone (but Max) disagrees with her. I turn around and see Diana writing 24 & 11(Thank You). I don't know what to talk about so I'm going to tell you about a show. Diana and I just found out that a characters real name is Mieczslaw Stilinski. I know its a mouth full. Ms. Nakada is talking about how a NFL player washes peoples feet when he gives them shoes.
Everyone takes out their English notebook. We watch a video of Kerry Washington reenacting "Ain't I A Woman." We take notes on the speech, and in my personal opinion that speech is very inspirational. Everyone should have the same rights. I see Erin making extremely weird faces at me. We have to pack up, the bell is about to ring. Goodbye my people.

To Kill A Mockingbird
HW- RJ 2.1 TKAM Ch. 5
I walk into sixth period, happy that it's the last period of the day. I sit down and start writing down the agenda, and Erin is already yelling, like always.
Chris starts reading his blog, and while he reads it, I'm lost, because I wasn't here on Friday, and I don't know what happened. He had chosen someone, then he looks at me and chooses me; I already saw it coming.
Ms. Nakada tells us to take out our English notebooks and to write a quote that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said. "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." We discuss what the quote means; the message.
Then, Donald Trump is brought up into our conversation, unfortunately our 45th president. I'm just sitting here not really wanting to type this blog but it's better to just give it over with. Meanwhile, the students are exchanging different quotes said by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We move on to the Question of the Week "With what privileged/oppressed groups do you identify?" At first I didn't know how to answer the question until Ms. Nakada gave examples. I was sitting here doing my work, listening like the good child I am and Yaritzel and Julian kept calling me to be in the blog. Well, I guess they made it. At this point the class is getting very loud, and I'm just sitting here having nobody to talk to. I lost track of the time, and the bell is about to ring and I am getting ready to leave. This is short, but also because we get out early.Well, this is it. BYE!

The Homework Is Reading Journal 1.2 TKAM
The whole class started as usual, talking until the bell rings, to signal the start of 6th period. Ms. Nakada started to take the attendance as everyone quited down. After roll, she moved Michael to a seat near me, which is a living hell in my perspective (and in his). As Deborah started to read her short blog to the class, Julian sneezed louder than a cow (trust me I know). It startled me for like two seconds, and then the day continued to continue as usual.
Josue was not here, so Deborah had to choose someone to do the blog this day. Of course, being the embodiment of Jesus Christ himself (a joke of course), or something else, I volunteered to do the blog.
Ms. Nakada went to check reading journals and some people did not do it. We talked about To Kill A MockingBird for the rest of the period. We discussed that the book is about how Jem breaks his arm, and we meet Dill. We also discuss the Radley's, a creepy neighbor. Dill dares Jem to touch the Radley's house.
